Bruno Guimaraes makes NUFC fans fall in love again as brilliant quotes emerge from Brazil

by Olly Hawkins ·

If you didn't love Bruno Guimaraes already, you will now based on the latest comments that have emerged from our midfield maestro.

Speaking while away with the Brazil national side, Bruno has explained how he already feels "at home" on Tyneside, revealing how it's a "dream come true" to be playing every week in the Premier League.

The 24-year-old also talks about the "crazy" amount of love he's received from Newcastle fans, feeling like the "mayor of the city" based on the amount of attention he gets out on the street!

He believes the St James' Park atmosphere is unique and "totally different" to any other ground in the Premier League, revealing how the passion of the Geordie faithful reminds him of South American fans back home.

In Bruno, we not only have an incredible footballer and fully fledged Brazilian international, but a great bloke who has embraced every element of life as a Newcastle United player. He's a joy to watch on the pitch and equally impressive in everything he does and says off it.

Here's what he's had to say about life on Tyneside and the love he's received from fans:

“It’s a dream come true to be playing in the Premier League. Everything is amazing. Sometimes I think to myself, ‘I was born for this, for the Premier League’. I already feel at home here.

“The fans are crazy about me, and nothing beats that in football. Honestly, I get so much love out on the streets that sometimes it feels like I’m the mayor of the city!

“They spot me and start yelling my name, wanting to take a picture. I’ve met people who’ve got a tattoo with my face on! It’s nuts. That’s the love fans have!

"Newcastle have been through difficult times in the recent past and now they’re bouncing back. Every single home game is wonderful, because the atmosphere is incredible – it’s totally different from the atmosphere at any other Premier League ground.

“Our fans remind me of Brazilian fans and South American fans. It’s damn good to play in a place like this.”
