Bruno Guimaraes suffers injury scare with Brazil as Newcastle are handed yet ANOTHER concern
If Alexander Isak wasn't enough, it's now emerged that Bruno Guimaraes has also picked up a knock while away on international duty.
According to Brazilian outlet Globo Esporte, Bruno has a thigh swelling and is set to miss out on Friday's friendly against Ghana.
The report states that he trained earlier this week but felt some 'pain' after Tuesday's session. Following this complaint, an examination by Brazil's medical team has now 'caught the injury', meaning he's unlikely to feature in tomorrow's game.
On a positive note, Globo state that he could yet make the bench against Ghana - suggesting the injury isn't anything serious - but the 24-year-old will be evaluated ‘day by day’ and is expected to miss out.
The Mail's Craig Hope has also added that the thigh injury is NOT believed to be serious, meaning he could return for Brazil's second game of the international break next week. It's still a worry, but this suggests he could still be fine for our trip to Fulham.
Either way, it's another worry for Eddie Howe after £60m man Alexander Isak was forced to return early after picking up an unknown injury in training with the Sweden squad earlier this week.
