Brazilian journalist claims NUFC are battling Man Utd, PSG and Real Madrid to sign young striker
According to Brazilian journalist Jorge Nicola, Newcastle will battle European giants for the signing of Palmeiras wonderkid Endrick Felipe with the club ‘promising’ to bid in the near future.
The forward joined the Brazilian club at the age of 11 and has scored 165 goals in 169 games for the youth side, attracting the likes of Real Madrid, Paris Saint Germain and Manchester United.
Now, at 16-years-old, the striker is hopeful that he can soon make his first-team debut for his boyhood club and showcase his talents on the biggest stage in his country.
There have been rumours that Barcelona representatives had met with the Sèrie A leaders, but this report claims that their last meeting was back in February and that the Spanish side are no longer in the race.
With so many European clubs interested in the youngster, Newcastle face a big challenge in persuading Endrick to join the Magpies over league winning sides around the continent.
If we are serious about acquiring the exciting teenager, we will have to trigger his €40m release clause and, at such a young age, it would be a big risk for the club to spend a huge chunk of the budget on unproven talent.
