NUFC reporter reveals if Bruno Guimaraes could be fit for Fulham as bad news arrives from Brazil

According to reports in Brazil, Bruno Guimaraes is on his way back to Tyneside earlier than expected after picking up another injury.

He's not long returned from a hamstring issue, however he's now nursing a thigh problem; which kept him out of Brazil's 3-0 win over Ghana on Friday.

The 24-year-old has now been ruled out of Tuesday's clash with Tunisia and sent back to England for further assessment, joining Alexander Isak and Chris Wood in picking up knocks over the international break.

The Mail's Craig Hope has issued a much needed update on Bruno's situation just a few moments ago, insisting 'there is a chance' he could still face Fulham this Saturday as the injury is 'not too serious.'

We'll no doubt hear more over the coming days, but it's promising to read that this doesn't look to be anything major, with the midfielder only just returning from several weeks out in that 1-1 draw with Bournemouth.
