Newcastle duo passed fit to face Fulham but 6 players look set to miss out - The Telegraph

by Olly Hawkins ·

The injuries may be stacking up on Tyneside, but it looks like Eddie Howe will have two attackers back for Saturday's trip to Fulham.

The Telegraph's Luke Edwards has good news on Callum Wilson and Elliot Anderson, confirming that both will be fit for this weekend's game.

Wilson has trained over the international break and stepped up his recovery from a hamstring injury, meaning he could start at Craven Cottage. Given Alexander Isak has been ruled out with a 'lower leg' injury and Chris Wood is also nursing a rib problem, our number nine is back just when we need him.

As for Anderson, he's overcome a knock that kept him out of our 1-1 draw with Bournemouth before the international break, giving us another option in attack.

Again, his return comes at a good time considering Allan Saint-Maximin is deemed 'unlikely' to face Fulham after suffering a 'minor setback' prior to the international break.

There's hope Bruno Guimaraes will be OK, despite returning early from international duty with a thigh complaint, but it seems we'll be without Isak, Wood, Saint-Maximin, Shelvey, Krafth and Darlow this weekend.
