Shola Ameobi rolls back the years with emphatic display live on Soccer AM - Video

Former Newcastle striker Shola Ameobi proved that he's still got it over the weekend, rolling back the years in a number of skill challenges live on Soccer AM!

The 40-year-old - who is currently still employed by Newcastle as loan manager - fired home a volley before beating the keeper in a one-on-one and finally completing the crossbar challenge to score a total of £400.

His spectacular performance was then celebrated by a number of Toon fans (watch below) - an experience Ameobi will be very familiar with as local hero belted out!

Shola made almost 400 appearances in the 14 years he spent at the North East club and is certainly an icon for many supporters, being known as the Mackem Slayer for his Tyne and Wear derby heroics.

In many ways, the ex-Nigerian international looked sharper than he did at some points during his footballing career on Tyneside!
