Martin Dubravka's move to Manchester United takes another turn for the worse...

Martin Dubravka's loan move to Manchester United is becoming more and more baffling.

The Slovakian didn't want to settle for being second choice behind Nick Pope, yet it seems he may have slipped even further down the goalkeeping pecking order since arriving at Old Trafford.

Not only has he failed to make a single appearance since signing, he was left out of Erik ten Hag's squad for last night's 2-1 win over Everton.

Many expected the 33-year-old to be named on the bench for their trip to Goodison Park, however it was former Burnley stopper Tom Heaton who got the nod instead.

This comes after he an unused substitute in Thursday's Europa League clash with Omonia Nikosia, with David De Gea keeping his place against the Cypriot side, denying Dubravka game time in the exact sort of fixture he would've expected to feature in.

After being snubbed in midweek and left out entirely - for the sixth time in nine games since he arrived - last night, it's fair to say this "dream" move to Man Utd isn't going to plan, seeing his prospect of first-team minutes diminish even further, if anything.

Man Utd are obliged to make his loan move a permanent one if he starts a 'high' number of games, however it's fair to say that £6m move won't be going through next summer based on what we've seen so far!
