Eddie Howe's rousing message to Newcastle fans ahead of Sunday's clash with Manchester United

Ahead of our game against Manchester United, Eddie Howe has promised Toon fans that he will send his team out to 'attack' the game with 'no fear' as we look to pick up a huge three points.

After years and years of defensive and negative football under the likes of Steve Bruce, having a manager who is willing to go out and take the game to some of the best teams in the league is a breath of fresh air.

This is not the first example of Howe's positive football either - back in August we went toe-to-toe with Man City in a 3-3 draw and were inches away from going 2-0 up at Anfield 10 days later.

Speaking ahead of the game, Howe delivered this positive message to fans making the trip to Old Trafford:

"We’re going to try and attack it and get a positive result.

"They have outstanding individuals and a great manager.

"They’re developing their style of play and philosophy, but we have to go in with no fear.

"We believe we can win."

While they have found some good form following an awful start to the season, Man United do tend to struggle in games where they are expected to control the ball and the pace of Saint-Maximin, if fit, and Almiron could be key.

For once there is a positive atmosphere around Tyneside and the former Bournemouth boss has everybody believing that we can go into any game and get a result - long may it continue.
