Joelinton starts, Shelvey on the bench & two out after setbacks – Official team news vs Man Utd
The team sheets are out ahead of today’s 2pm kick off at Old Trafford, which sees us take on Manchester United in search of our third successive win.
Without further ado, here’s the side Eddie Howe has gone with:
STARTING XI: Pope – Trippier, Schar, Botman, Burn – Longstaff, Guimaraes, Joelinton – Almiron, Wilson, Murphy.
SUBS: Karius, Lascelles, Lewis, Targett, Shelvey, Willock, Anderson, Fraser, Wood.
So, it's one change from the side who beat Brentford 5-1, as Joelinton comes in for Joe Willock; who isn't fit enough to start after being poorly over the past few days.
Dan Burn keeps his place at left-back, as does Jacob Murphy out wide, and it's also good to see Miguel Almiron in the side after rumours he could miss out.
As revealed by The Mail's Craig Hope, both Alexander Isak and Allan Saint-Maximin have suffered injury setbacks over the past few days, which explains why the pair don't feature in Howe's matchday squad, but it's great to see Jonjo Shelvey back on the bench.
Here's how the hosts line up, seeing Cristiano Ronaldo start up top for the Red Devils and Marcus Rashford drop to the bench:
