Toon talent scores stunning free kick in 3-2 win on Sunday - Watch brilliant goal here

Academy talent Joe White scored a stunning free-kick in a 3-2 victory over Southampton on Sunday afternoon as our Under-21s picked up another three points in the Premier League 2 Division 2. 

The result takes them level on points with their opposition, leaving the youth side just one place below a playoff spot and just three points off of Leeds in second. 

In the game, midfielder White fired home his free-kick into the top right-hand corner and beyond the reach of the keeper in the 81st minute to complete the comeback after being 2-1 down after 40 minutes.

Forwards Dylan Stephenson and Isaac Westendorf were the other two scorers at Whitley Park as Newcastle secured their first of two victories before the first team would go on to beat Tottenham later that afternoon. 

With a planned complete overhaul of the academy and an influx of young stars from all over the world, it’s great to see the talent already in the squad finding some good form.
