Player now 'open' to Newcastle move after Toon scouts watch him score stunner on Tuesday
According to fresh reports, Ukrainian superstar Mykhaylo Mudryk is interested in joining Newcastle United next year.
This comes from Football Insider, who revealed last month that we were ready to sanction a big-money bid for the Shakhtar Donetsk winger in January.
Since then, both The Athletic, The Mail and iNews all confirming our interest in the 21-year-old talent, suggesting he is the latest name being discussed in Toon transfer meetings.
Football Insider report that he is keen to land a Premier League move and is 'open' to the idea of signing at St James' Park, however it's thought he could stay until next summer and resist any January exit if Shakhtar make it through to the Champions League group stages.
The same piece reveals that Newcastle scouts were present to watch him in last night's 1-1 draw at Celtic, which saw him score his third goal of the tournament with a superb strike from outside the box.
His stock is on the rise and he's believed to be attracting interest from some of the biggest clubs in Europe, so we may have to act fast if we wish to snap up the Ukraine international in January!
