£25m man set to return on Saturday as Aston Villa receive another boost ahead of Toon trip
It's been a good week for Aston Villa ahead of their trip to Tyneside this weekend.
They beat Brentford 4-0 last Saturday following Steven Gerrard's dismissal, appointed Unai Emery on Monday night and have now received an injury boost.
As revealed by L'Equipe, full-back Lucas Digne looks set to return from a spell on the sidelines after missing their last five games with an ankle injury.
Since then, veteran Ashley Young has filled in at left-back, giving Aaron Danks - who will stand-in for Emery while the Spaniard waits for a work permit - a decision to make this weekend now Digne is back in contention.
As you may remember, Newcastle launched a £22.5m bid for the Frenchman back in January, however the former Everton star rejected our offer in fear of relegation and instead sealed a £25m move to Aston Villa later that month.
Elsewhere for the visitors, ex-Toon targets Boubacar Kamara and Diego Carlos will both miss the game with long-term injuries, although the former is closing in on an early return to action.
