Howe shortlisted alongside Premier League duo as Newcastle receive 4th nomination of the day

Eddie Howe has been nominated for the Premier League Manager of the Month award alongside Man City's Pep Guardiola and Arsenal's Mikel Arteta (Vote here!).

This comes just moments after Newcastle United trio Miguel Almiron, Kieran Trippier and Bruno Guimaraes were shortlisted for the Player of the Month prize, with Miggy tipped to win after six goals in six games in October.

As for Howe, no one deserves it more following a month that saw us pick up 16 points from a possible 18, score 16 goals (a Premier League high for October), concede just three (the lowest in the Premier League for October) and surge into the top four following a string of impressive wins.

In a month that included a statement victory at Spurs, emphatic wins over Fulham, Brentford, Aston Villa and Everton - by an aggregate score of 14-2 - and a clean sheet at Old Trafford, it's time to get voting to ensure Howe beats Arteta and Guardiola to the prize.
