Garang Kuol does it again - Watch two assists here as Aussie star boosts World Cup hopes
New recruit Garang Kuol made a huge impact off the bench for the Central Coast Mariners over the weekend, as the forward set up two goals within eight minutes to inspire the A-League side to victory.
The 18-year-old was brought on in the 66th minute - while his side were level at 0-0 - and just minutes later Kuol won the ball on the edge of the box before setting up his teammate to slot home.
Moments later, he was at it again. In the 72nd minute, the Australian found himself wide open on the right-hand side and played a perfectly weighted ball across the box, allowing his teammate to tap in to seal the victory.
See both goals below, which may well have edged the Aussie star one step closer to a World Cup call up!
This isn't the fist time he's had an instant impact from the bench, as he helped inspire a 4-2 win from 2-0 down just last week.
Kuol's high-pressing ability seems to be ideal for Eddie Howe's system as the young star often looks to use his blistering pace to good effect and force turnovers high up the pitch - something we have massively improved on since Howe's arrival.
Newcastle will certainly hope that their new signing, set to join in January, will maintain this great form as the season goes on, with the teenager expected to join a European side on loan as soon as he arrives in the new year.
