'Leaked' World Cup squad - Good and bad news for Newcastle United duo?

According to reports emerging from South America, Bruno Guimaraes has been named in Brazils 26-man squad for the World Cup; but fellow Mag Joelinton has not made the cut.

Ahead of the official announcement later today, a leaked line up has arrived from UOL Esporte journalist Bruno Andrade, featuring Premier League stars like Ederson, Alisson, Thiago Silva, Fabinho and Jesus.

It's his information that Joelinton will miss out alongside Arsenal's Gabriel Magalhães, however Bruno Guimaraes looks all set to be on the plane to Qatar.

A shame for big Joe - who was always considered a long shot for the squad - but it shows how far he's come that he was reportedly on Tite's 55-man longlist that's now been cut to 26.

Elsewhere, we await news on Fabian Schar (Switzerland) and England contenders Nick Pope, Kieran Trippier, Callum Wilson and Dan Burn, with Gareth Southgate set to announce his Three Lions squad on Thursday.

UPDATE: The official squad features Bruno Guimaraes and Gabriel Martinelli, but Joelinton and Robert Firmino have both missed out.
