It looks increasingly clear that Newcastle United have snapped up an absolute gem in Garang Kuol.

A few days on from his World Cup call up, which will see him feature for the Socceroos in Qatar, the 18-year-old put in another superb performance from the bench on Sunday.

In a 41-minute cameo for a 10-man Central Coast Mariners, the teenage sensation scored a stunning goal from a tight angle just moments after finishing emphatically from the spot.

Incredibly, he's yet to start a single league game in his career, yet has bagged six goals and three assists - all from the bench - in 336 minutes of football.

This comes after the Aussie star delivered two assists in 27 minutes in last weekend's 3-0 win, yet he's now scored a superb brace just days before heading off to the World Cup.
