Frenchman opens door to Premier League move after Newcastle United rumours re-emerge

Following fresh reports linking him with a potential move to St James' Park, Juventus Adrien Rabiot has admitted he would "love" to play in the Premier League during an interview with L’Equipe. 

A host of Italian outlets continue to credit Newcastle with serious interest in the soon-to-be out of contract midfielder, but some remain unsure if we are ACTUALLY in for the former PSG talent.

The Frenchman has been playing well for his country during the World Cup, grabbing a goal and an assist in their 4–1 victory over Australia, and will likely start against England in our quarter final clash on Saturday.

With the 27-year-old now entering the final six months of his contract, he will be free to negotiate with other clubs on January 1st to discuss a possible free transfer in the summer.

Rather than lose out on him for free, Juventus may look to cash in on their central midfielder while they still can and ask for a relatively small fee for his services next month. 

We've been heavily linked with a host of midfielders in recent months and a cut-price move for a player of his quality could appeal - although question marks over his character and his likely wage demands make me question if this is all agent-driven?

Nevertheless, here's what Rabiot had this to say when speaking to L’Equipe about talk of a move to England next year:

“It’s a goal to play in the Premier League.

“England at 13 was a very good experience even though I barely did a year (at Manchester City).

“I really liked the atmosphere there, it’s something different from France or Italy. I would love to play there in my career, I’ve always said that.”
