Toon target receives message from NUFC star - Agent Allan to boost to our January hopes?
Allan Saint-Maximin has sent a message of support to French forward and Newcastle target Marcus Thuram after he secured his spot in the World Cup final with the French national team.
Thuram, son of French legend Lilian, has been regularly linked with a move to St James' Park this winter, with The Athletic revealing that the Borussia Monchengladbach striker has been mentioned in recruitments meetings.
The pair are thought to be good friends having worked through the French youth teams at the same time and actually playing together for the Under-20's on multiple occasions back in 2016/17.
Saint-Maximin posted a "so proud of you" message (see below) on all of his social channels after Thuram's lively cameo in Wednesday's clash with Morocco sent his country through to the World Cup final.
It's no wonder we are interested - he is out of contract at the end of the season, a good age (25) and can play up top or out wide - so let's hope his close relationship with ASM gives us the edge should we up our interest next month.
With ten goals and three assists in his first 15 Bundesliga games this season, the in-form forward would be a great addition to our front line.
