Late drama in London as Toon pull off incredible comeback during Premier League Cup clash

Newcastle United's U21s ended a run of six straight defeats in dramatic fashion on Monday afternoon, as TWO stoppage time strikes saw off Crystal Palace in a Premier League Cup clash in London.

16-year-old talent Lewis Miley opened the scoring for the young Mags, but two second half strikes from the Eagles left us 2-1 down going into added time.

However, after Jay Turner-Cooke scored in the 91st minute to potentially salvage a point, Miley bagged his second of the game with a 93rd minute winner!

Both players not only featured in Eddie Howe's first-team squad that travelled to Saudi Arabia but also came on in the final 15 minutes of Saturday's 2-1 win over Rayo Vallecano at St James' Park.

As for today's 3-2 win over Crystal Palace, summer additions Jude Smith (goalkeeper) and Irish talent Alex Murphy (defender) returned to U21 action, with Dylan Stephenson starting up top after scoring in our 5-0 win over Al-Hilal.
