Sky Sports: NUFC eyeing Borussia Dortmund star - Chelsea, Man Utd & Liverpool also keen
As revealed by Sky Sports in Germany, Newcastle United are one of several Premier League clubs showing interest in Borussia Dortmund sensation Youssoufa Moukoko.
The 18-year-old striker has bagged an impressive six goals and four assists in 14 appearances in the Bundesliga this season and recently became the youngest player to ever feature in a World Cup for Germany.
He's considered one of the brightest young talents in Europe, yet is out of contract next summer and unlikely to sign a new deal, as things stand, leaving a host of clubs vying for his signature in 2023.
Sky Germany report that Chelsea have already held talks with the teenager, but Man Utd, Liverpool, Barcelona and Newcastle are also listed as clubs showing interest.
Here's what Sky's transfer expert Marc Behrenbeck has had to say about Moukoko's future:
"It is clear that a lot of top clubs are asking about Moukoko and are keen on him as he is available on a free transfer in the summer and is a bargain.
"We hear that Chelsea are the closest. There have already been negotiations and talks.
"Manchester United, Liverpool, Barcelona and Newcastle are on the list (of clubs showing interest), but Chelsea is the hottest, the others aren't ready (to open talks) yet."
