Newcastle offered chance to sign Ligue 1 star midway through impressive loan spell - Report

As reported by 90min, Newcastle are one of several Premier League teams who have been offered the chance to sign Tete - the Shakhtar Donetsk winger currently on loan at Lyon. 

West Ham, Spurs and Arsenal have also been offered the Brazilian, who has been in France over the past six months due to conflicts between Ukraine and Russia.

After a managerial change at Lyon, new boss Laurent Blanc is expected to pursue his own targets this winter, meaning Tete could end up elsewhere following his eye-catching spell with Bruno Guimaraes’ former club.

During his short spell, the 22-year-old has been impressive in Ligue 1 after scoring six and assisting three in 14 appearances and is expected to be in high demand.

Tete can play both as an attacking midfielder and a right-winger and would add great quality in depth to this Newcastle side as we try to cement our European spot in the second half of the season. He is also out of contract at Shakhtar in less than 12 months time, meaning a cut-price deal could be negotiated should we hold any interest.
