Player-plus cash offer now on the cards as club register interest in returning Mag?
According to The Guardian Ed Aarons, Leicester are interested in signing Martin Dubravka this month - fuelling rumours that a part-exchange involving James Maddison or Youri Tielemans could be on the cards.
The Slovakian international has just been recalled from his loan spell at Man United - where he made just two appearances in the Carabao Cup - and he could soon be departing once again for the East Midlands.
Newcastle's interest in Maddison and Tielemans has been well documented since the summer, but we were unwilling to pay an astronomical fee to acquire either midfielder.
Now, with the Foxes looking for a new goalkeeper months after their former captain Kasper Schmeichel left for France, we could use their interest in Dubravka as leverage and offer a player-plus cash package?
With Tielemans' contract expiring in the summer and Maddison entering the final 18 months of his current deal, the 33-year-old shot-stopper could certainly sweeten the deal and crucially save us some money to stay within the FFP restrictions.
