Instagram post gets Toon fans talking as Garang Kuol drops major hint on Thursday morning

by Olly Hawkins ·

Yesterday, Newcastle United new boy Garang Kuol was heavily linked with a potential loan move to Hearts.

Shortly after 9am this morning, the 18-year-old posted a picture of him in Edinburgh on his Instagram story, suggesting a temporary switch to Scotland is very much in the offing.

Considering he's now a Newcastle player, having completed a £300,000 move from Central Coast Mariners this month, it seems no coincidence that the Aussie is suddenly a stone's throw from Tynecastle following interest from the SPL club.

Championship side Reading have also been linked, but a move to Hearts could make plenty of sense. Not only do they have three Australian's in their squad who could help him settle, it would allow the youngster to acclimatise to a metropolitan city and the sort of weather he can come to expect while playing in the UK!

The Jam Tarts are also third in the Scottish top flight and the best side in the division behind Celtic and Rangers, so he'd be playing at a decent standard providing guaranteed game time is on offer.

Here's what the Socceroos forward posted on his Instagram story just moments ago:
