Sky Sports: Mag arrives for 'face-to-face talks' as Toon sanction another January loan move - Photo

by Olly Hawkins ·

Sky Sports have confirmed that Garang Kuol is in the Scottish capital today to discuss a potential loan move to Hearts.

Keith Downie - Sky's North-East correspondent who also happens to be a Hearts fan - has revealed that the Aussie star will hold 'face-to-face talks' with the SPL side, who are interested in bringing him to Tynecastle for the second half of the season.

It's thought the fact Hearts have three Australians in their squad has 'swung it' for Newcastle, as familiar faces will help the 18-year-old settle after leaving his homeland at such a young age.

This could be the second January loan switch sanctioned by the club, with The Mail revealing that Joe White is expected to spend the remainder of the season with League One side Exeter City.

Kuol has only just arrived on Tyneside after completing a £300,000 move from Central Coast Mariners, but Dan Ashworth and Eddie Howe were quick to sanction a loan move for the striker, believing regular game time at senior level was key for his development.

The Socceroos talent posted a picture from Edinburgh on his Instagram story this morning, so this update from Sky Sports comes as no major surprise after the Jam Tarts were linked with a loan move yesterday.

Here's what Downie's had to say on the matter, along with a picture of Kuol checking out Hearts' training facilities alongside Shola Ameobi:
