Allan Saint-Maximin rumours cleared up as two journalists respond to January exit claims

Earlier today, GiveMeSport ran a story on Allan Saint-Maximin after receiving the following quotes from Sky Sports' Keith Downie:

“If Saint-Maximin goes – and I think there’s a possibility of that [for the right money] – and they manage to get some money for him, I think they could go out and buy someone.”

This line soon made its way to social media, leaving many on Twitter to wonder if the Frenchman had been made available for transfer.

However, both Downie and The Telegraph's Luke Edwards have responded to these claims, insisting the quotes have been twisted to create a story that doesn't really exist.

Like any player, they accept Saint-Maximin could leave if an astronomical bid arrives, but he's believed to remain an "integral part" of Eddie Howe's plans, with the club having 'no plans' to sell the Frenchman anytime soon.
