Sky Sports: Newcastle in contact with PSG over Sunderland loanee as Toon scouts plan visit

As revealed by Sky Sports, Newcastle are tracking PSG talent Edouard Michut and intend to watch the 19-year-old during his loan spell at Sunderland.

The midfielder joined the Black Cats in the summer but has struggled to make a huge impact due to injuries - he's started just twice this season with another five appearances coming off the bench.

Sky Sports report that Newcastle and RB Leipzig have inquired about the Frenchman's progress and will continue to watch how he gets on over the second half of the season.

The youngster has represented his country at the under-16, under-17 and under-19 level and has been praised for his technical ability and tactical versatility.

While not a solution for the immediate future, Michut has bags of potential and appears to be the latest highly-rated teenager Dan Ashworth is considering in a bid to bring some of Europe's top young talents to Tyneside.
