Ashworth and Howe eyeing Brighton's most improved player as contract runs down - Report
According to 90min, both Eddie Howe and Dan Ashworth have been showing interest in Brighton's Solly March.
The 28-year-old has 18 months left on his current deal and Roberto De Zerbi’s side are hoping they can persuade him to sign an extension to ward off interest from other Premier League clubs.
March, who has played for the south coast club since 2011, has been one of their most improved players this season after scoring four and assisting two in his last five top flight appearances.
With Gordon signed and Ashby set to follow, it seems unlikely we make a move over the final 24 hours of the January window, however his ability to play out wide and at full-back could appeal; especially when the likes of Matt Ritchie and Ryan Fraser are expected to move on at some stage this year.
Ashworth will be very familiar with the former England U21 talent from his time as Brighton’s technical director.
Personally, I think we'll aim higher this summer and pursue younger options, even if his arrival could improve out strength in depth out wide.
