Joelinton in contention for first international call-up next month - Report

As reported by The Mail, Joelinton is in contention for a first ever call-up to the Brazilian national team with two friendlies set to be played next month.

The big man has shown incredible form once again this season, aiding our top four challenge and Carabao Cup run, but missed out on a call-up for the World Cup back in November.

Tite, Brazil's head coach at the time, watched him score in our 4-0 hammering of Aston Villa last year, but decided against bringing the midfielder to Qatar.

Now, as Brazil are on the hunt for a new head coach following a disappointing World Cup campaign, Joelinton could be one of the players identified by the new boss to be part of this next cycle.

The £40m-man certainly deserves the opportunity to represent his country for his character, determination and hard working attitude that has allowed him to become one of the most dominant midfielders in the league.
