Midfielder absent from training footage and former Liverpool talent called up by Howe - Video

Newcastle United have released a video of the players in training on Wednesday, offering a few potential fitness updates ahead of Saturday's trip to Bournemouth.

The good news is that Alexander Isak is back with the group, confirming that he has recovered from concussion, however there's no sign of Joe Willock in the five-minute clip; which you can watch in full here.

Elsewhere, it's interesting to see that former Liverpool defender Remi Savage has been training with the first-team. Whether he's been impressing Eddie Howe at U21 level or is simply stepping in to help make up the numbers, it will be great experience for the 21-year-old centre-back.

New signings Anthony Gordon and Harrison Ashby can also be seen in the video, which features Howe delivering training drills, Isak firing past Loris Karius and Sean Longstaff scoring a brace past Martin Dubravka.
