New footage shows Sunderland fans rattled by Mitrovic not once but twice on Wednesday night
Aleksandar Mitrovic's cult hero status on Tyneside went up a notch last night, as the former Toon striker had the last laugh in Fulham's FA Cup win over Sunderland at the Stadium of Light.
After coming on at the break, the Serbian played a key role in the Cottagers second goal, setting up Andreas Pereira before taking a tumble over the advertising boards.
A video has emerged of Sunderland fans chuckling at his fall - a bizarre reaction to going 0-2 down - but that didn't deter Mitro, who got up and gave it the big one in front the Mackems!
It got even better after the game, with Fulham striker telling the BBC cameras he's a "Geordie boy" who loved getting one over his former rivals.
Watch both clips below from last night's 3-2 win on Wearside:
"Yeah, I love it. Well, I’m a Geordie boy, so they don’t like me here! I knew it before. Good atmosphere, and yes a win against them so I think a lot of Newcastle fans will be happy as well."
