Toon set for major boost in bid to sign Bayer Leverkusen's Moussa Diaby - Report

According to reports in Germany, Bayer Leverkusen look set to cash in on star man Moussa Diaby this summer.

This comes from popular outlet BILD, who claim the Bundesliga side are reluctantly preparing for big changes after a ‘crisis season’ so far.

They currently sit 10th in the table and failed to get out of their Champions League group, leaving sporting director Simon Rolfes expecting a "different summer" where there'll be "a lot more movement" in the transfer market. After a £60m asking price put us off last year, it seems there's now a deal there to be done for the winger.

The Mail revealed that we had reignited our interest in January, stating we are ‘long-term admirers’ of the 23-year-old and have asked to be kept informed about his availability.

BILD recently reported that the Frenchman remains a 'dream signing' for Newcastle United, suggesting we remain determined to sign the two-footed wide man who can play down either flank.

Diaby has bagged eight goals and five assists in all competitions this season, with two of those coming in Champions League clashes with Atletico Madrid.

Alongside Leicester's James Maddison, it feels like the former PSG talent is one to watch this summer.
