Kieran Trippier makes exciting Elliot Anderson prediction - Hugely encouraging comments
Kieran Trippier has hailed Elliot Anderson's "unbelievable" cameo at Nottingham Forest, predicting the Toon talent has a "massive future" ahead of him at Newcastle United.
Having experienced a Champions League final, some huge occasions on the international stage and La Liga glory with Atletico Madrid, you listen when Trippier speaks, making his comments on Anderson hugely encouraging.
Our vice captain is clearly a big fan. "It's crazy really how good he is", he said, talking up his huge potential after Friday's game-changing display.
He admits to having a "lot of talks" with the 20-year-old and has encouraged him to "be patient" and "keeping working hard", feeling certain his time will come after that outstanding second half display at the City Ground; which featured a wrongly disallowed goal, a thunderous strike that almost flew past Navas, one lovely run in behind and several pieces of direct, strong and confident dribbling.
When asked about the Geordie talent, Tripps said:
"Do you know what? We have a lot of talks, me and Elliot.
"He's a young lad with so much potential, I really mean that. It's crazy really how good he is.
"He just needs to be patient and keep working hard as he's been doing.
"I thought he was unbelievable in the second half when he came on.
"He's got a massive future ahead of him, he just has to keep being patient."
