Leaked image shows potential Newcastle kit for 2023/24 - Outrage inevitable if true...

by Olly Hawkins ·

Earlier this month, The Times' Martin Hardy revealed that Newcastle's Saudi Arabian owners plan to 'strengthen the link between themselves and the club' by releasing another "Saudi" away kit for the 2023/24 season.

They're bidding to make Newcastle United the most popular team in the Middle East, but we all know how the media reacted to our most recent green and white kit - many saw it as the perfect example of sports washing, as it almost mirrored a the current national-team jersey.

Yesterday, the following image was shared online and could point towards one of our three kits next season, albeit without FUN88 (who will see their contract with Newcastle expire this summer).

Time will tell if there's any truth behind this image doing the rounds on social media, but it's guaranteed to cause controversy should PIF sanction this kit for the 2023/24 campaign.

Castore remains the kit supplier, but it seems we are struggling to negotiate an early release from the sportswear brand, with Amanda Staveley recently hinting that this was one of several 'one-sided' deals Mike Ashley had in place prior to the takeover.

What do you think, folks? Would you be happy for this to be our away or third kit next season?
