Newcastle eyeing MLS star, but face competition from Juventus, AC Milan and Bayern - Report

According to 90min, Newcastle are one of several clubs who are tracking MLS star Cade Cowell; who currently plays for San Jose Earthquakes.

The forward has managed nine goals and 12 assists in 81 appearances for the California-based team since making his debut in 2020, earning him a call-up to the USA national team.

However, Cowell also has family ties to Mexico and would be eligible to represent their national side should they call him up in the future.

Juventus and AC Milan are currently believed to be the favourites to sign the 19-year-old, but both Bayern Munich and Newcastle are keeping a close eye on his situation as we head towards the summer transfer window.

Although Cowell will no doubt be keen to make the jump to Europe, he may not come cheap, as his contract runs until 2026 and he's currently the Quakes' most important player.
