Newcastle could hijack move for Spanish sensation as Real Madrid stall on €10m clause - Report

As reported by the Daily Record, Newcastle are interested in signing Bayer Leverkusen forward Iker Bravo who has spent the last season on loan at Real Madrid.

The 18-year-old was one of the standout players for Spain during last summer's UEFA Under-17 Championships and has netted three goals and three assists in four UEFA Youth League appearances for Real's U19 side.

Liverpool, Newcastle and Marseille are all keeping a close eye on Real Madrid's next move, who have the option of securing the striker permanently for €10m.

However, it's thought the Spanish giants have been trying to negotiate that fee down, leaving the door open for other clubs to negotiate with Bayer Leverkusen and outbid Los Blancos.

Bravo has made two senior appearances for Leverkusen and has made 17 appearances in the Spanish third tier for Real Madrid's reserve team. The Barcelona academy product clearly has huge potential and could be the latest teenage talent Dan Ashworth is looking to attract.
