Agent offers '£35m deal' to Newcastle as unsettled winger eyes summer exit - Report
According to Spanish outlet Sport, agent Jorge Mendes has offered Newcastle United the chance to sign Barcelona's Ansu Fati for £35m.
The 20-year-old is believed to be 'growing increasingly tired of his situation at Barcelona', prompting Mendes to search for his next destination in the summer.
Fati has played in 24 of Barcelona's 26 La Liga fixtures, but has started just nine and is clearly frustrated at the lack of minutes with Xavi preferring to use the likes of Raphinha, Gavi and Ferran Torres.
Although Mendes has proposed a value of £35m as a 'fair transfer' due to his limited playing time, Barcelona will only sell if the Spanish international expresses a desire to leave following interest from Newcastle, Man Utd, Chelsea and Arsenal.
Despite spending £40m on Anthony Gordon in the January window, it's well documented that Eddie Howe is keen to add another talented wide forward to his squad, making Fati and intriguing option as a versatile youngster with caps for the Spanish national side.
That said, being offered a deal in the whacky world of football transfers is one thing. Actually taking an agent up on that and pursuing the player is another! Another name to add to the long list.
