Sky Sports release brilliant graphic from Newcastle 2-0 Man Utd as Gary Neville hails Toon trio

Sky Sports' statisticians and Gary Neville have highlighted how Newcastle's midfield trio dominated Man United's in almost every department during Sunday's 2-0 win at St James' Park.

It was explained on Monday Night Football that Willock, Longstaff and Bruno had more touches, won possession more, won more duels, had more shots and had more touches in the opposite box than Fernandes, Sabitzer and Mctominay.

It was the middle of the pitch where the game was won and it could have easily been 4, 5 or 6-0 on another day as we completely outplayed and outworked our top-four rivals.

The former Man United defender appreciated that our trio are 'good' players, but insists they 'shouldn't have outplayed' Erik ten Hag's given the talent he has available. Based on the way they've played all season, I bet to differ.

Although we did beat them on quality, it was clear to see that every Newcastle player simply 'wanted it more' as described by Neville. As a fan, it was one of the most enjoyable victories in recent memory and more proof that Willock and Longstaff shouldn't be far off an England call-up.
