Jamie Carragher explains why Newcastle will beat Liverpool and Spurs to top-four - Video

After Tottenham's 1-1 draw with Everton on Monday night, Jamie Carragher discussed the top-four battle on Sky Sports, explaining why he's confident Newcastle United will seal Champions League football.

He's been backing us for months, praising our "fantastic" defence, outstanding home form, high-energy and the togetherness between players and fans, but the former defender doubled down on his prediction last night.

Speaking on Monday Night Football, he insisted that Eddie Howe's Newcastle are "on a different level" to Spurs and Liverpool, feeling we are "playing a lot better" than our top-four rivals. He does believe Brighton are ones to watch, however, feeling they currently look a better side than our 'big six' rivals.

This was evident once again over the weekend. While we battered Man Utd, Liverpool looked wide open in a 4-1 defeat to Man City and Spurs collapsed against Everton; despite being 1-0 up with a man advantage.
