Spurs suffer another injury ahead of NUFC clash - 7 first-team players could miss Sunday's game
Tottenham could be without yet another first-team player for Sunday's huge trip to Tyneside, as Clement Lenglet has become the latest defender to pick up an injury.
The Frenchman was forced off before the break in Saturday's 3-2 defeat with Bournemouth; a game which featured a 95th minute winner from the Cherries and replacement Davinson Sanchez being booed off by Spurs fans just 20 minutes after he was subbed on.
Lenglet has been an ever-present in Spurs' defence since the 4-1 defeat to Leicester City and was there only fit left-sided centre-back, with Ben Davies missing the past month with a thigh injury.
Elsewhere, midfield duo Rodrigo Bentancur (knee) and Yves Bissouma will not feature at St James' Park following long-term injuries, while right-back Emerson Royal has also been ruled out with a knee injury.
Lucas Moura is suspended following his red card in their 1-1 draw at Everton and left wing-back Ryan Sessegnon is still struggling with his fitness, meaning Spurs could be without seven players this weekend.
We may have lost heavily on Saturday, but injury issues, a home defeat to Bournemouth and a stand-in manager struggling after Conte's exit makes me confident we can get the job done ahead of Sunday's six-pointer at St James' Park.
