Howe eyeing reunion with £15m man he brought to Bournemouth and Leeds star linked

Newcastle have been linked with summer moves for two relegation-threatened midfielders - Bournemouth's Philip Billing and Leeds' Tyler Adams.

Starting with Billing, The Mail's Craig Hope reveals at the bottom of his latest Toon 'exclusive' that he could be targeted as a 'squad option' if he were to become available at a reasonable price.

This seems likely should the Cherries suffer relegation, although they are currently odds on to beat the drop after a 3-2 win at Spurs last weekend sent them six points clear of danger with seven games to go.

He's a player Eddie Howe will know very well, as the Newcastle boss brought him to the south coast in a £15m move from Huddersfield back in 2019. The 6ft 4' Dane has been a key player since then, playing a big part in their survival bid with seven league goals so far this season.

Then to Tyler Adams, The Times report that we are are 'keeping tabs' on the touch-tackling midfielder who has been one of the few shining lights in an otherwise dismal season for Leeds.

He signed at Elland Road last summer, joining from RB Leipzig for £20m, but he is expected to leave in the event of relegation; which is looking very possible after back-to-back hammerings at home.

So, it seems the USA international is one of many No.6s being looked at by the club, while Billing may be pursued to bolster our squad - especially if Bournemouth suffer relegation.
