New name linked as Toon eye £25m talent who stunned Liverpool last year

According to a Football Insider, Newcastle United are keeping a close eye on Leeds winger Crysensio Summerville; a player we believe has 'huge potential.'

The 21-year-old has enjoyed a breakthrough season at Elland Road and is attracting interest from both Newcastle and Borussia Dortmund with the Magpies 'ready to move' for him in the summer.

With Leeds currently one of the favourites to suffer relegation, the Netherlands Under-21 international could be made available for around £25m after six goals and assists in 24 games this season; one of which was a 90th minute winner at Liverpool last year.

Summerville has largely been competing with the likes of Jack Harrison, Luis Sinisterra and Wilfried Gnonto, but has struggled to nail down a spot in the starting XI despite his eye-catching displays.

Although Newcastle do have a handful of wide options available at the club, we will need strength in depth next season to compete on three or four fronts. Not only that, Summerville looks to be an exciting prospect who could really improve under Eddie Howe.
