Toon trio join Howe on Premier League shortlist alongside Man City, Arsenal & Man Utd stars
Following Eddie Howe's Manager of the Season nomination, three Newcastle United stars have been shortlisted for Premier League awards.
Both Sven Botman and Alexander Isak have been nominated for young player of the season, while Kieran Trippier has been nominated for player of the season.
It's just great to see our players get recognition for their brilliant form, with last night's 4-1 win over Brighton sending us another step closer to a top-four finish.
Trippier is the only defender nominated for the POTS award, coming up against Man City's Kevin De Bruyne and Erling Haaland, Martin Odegaard and Bukayo Saka at Arsenal, Man Utd's Marcus Rashford and Tottenham's Harry Kane.
For young POTS, Botman and Isak come up against Haaland, Saka, Martinelli, Odegaard, Mac Allister and Caicedo, highlighting how good they've been in their debut seasons in the Premier League.
Haaland has been tipped to sweep up, but Howe could have a strong case for manager of the season should we secure Champions League football over the next week.
These nominations are a great representation of how far this squad has come, but all focus will be on our final two games of the season - starting with Monday's clash with Leicester.
