€17.5m release clause revealed - One to watch following 'positive talks' with Newcastle?

Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Newcastle target and teenage sensation Arda Guler is now available for €17.5m (£15m).

After playing over 1500 minutes for Fenerbahce across the 2022/23 season, a new release clause has been triggered in his contract, allowing clubs to snap him up for £15m.

Guler - described as one of the best young talents in Europe - has been regularly linked with a move to St James' Park in recent months, with Football Insider revealing that we held 'positive talks' with the player’s representatives in Dubai last month.

However, landing the 18-year-old will be no easy task with Romano stating that ‘many top clubs’ are trying to convince him to sign following his breakthrough season in Turkey. 

The attacking midfielder has weighed in with 13 goals involvements in 35 appearances across all competitions this season, gaining some valuable European experience as well as a call-up to the Turkish national team.
