Dan Ashworth pictured in Milan as Sky Italy reveal crucial meeting set to take place - Photo

After travelling to Italy yesterday to step up our pursuit of Sandro Tonali, Dan Ashworth has been pictured in Milan on Thursday afternoon.

In an update just moments ago, Sky Italy's Gianluca Di Marzio has shared a photo of Newcastle's Sporting Director, who is snapped outside of a black people carrier.

This comes after Fabrizio Romano revealed that Toon officials are en-route to Romania - where Tonali is playing tonight for Italy's U21s - to complete the first part of his Newcastle medical.

In his latest piece for Sky Italy, Di Marzio reports that Ashworth is set to be part of a 'decisive meeting' with AC Milan chiefs in the next few hours. It's believed a €70m deal is close to completion, but the Serie A giants are keen to agree on the structure of payments and will insist on a further €5m in add-ons.

Should this be finalised, staff sent out from Newcastle are expected to complete Tonali's medical out in Romania over the 'coming days'.
