Tonali, Isak, Miley and Gordon all start in Sela Cup clash vs Fiorentina - Team news from SJP

The teams are in ahead of Newcastle's opening game of the Sela Cup at St James' Park, where Eddie Howe's Mags take on Fiorentina.

Here's the team we've gone with against the Serie A side:

STARTING XI: Dubravka - Trippier, Botman, Murphy, Targett - L.Miley, Tonali, Anderson - Almiron, Gordon, Isak.

Sandro Tonali starts for the first time at St James' Park, with first-team start Trippier, Botman, Almiron, Isak and Gordon also in Howe's XI.

U21 star Lewis Miley also starts alongside Irish talent Alex Murphy, while pre-season top scorer Elliot Anderson is part of a three-man midfield alongside Miley and Tonali.

The likes of Pope, Schar, Burn, Longstaff, Barnes, Bruno, Joelinton and Wilson all miss out, but it's thought all are being saved for tomorrow's friendly with Villarreal.

Elsewhere, Harrison Ashby starts in Swansea's Championship opener against Birmingham City; a positive start to his loan spell with the Swans and hopefully a sign of things to come.
