£35m man spotted at Newcastle game as Howe talks Hall and two things he'll offer Toon squad

After completing the first part of his Newcastle medical on Friday, Lewis Hall was pictured at the Etihad on Saturday night as he watched his new teammates in action against Man City.

His move to St James' Park hasn't been made official as of yet, but a deal worth £35m has already been agreed with Chelsea, with the loan-to-buy switch set to cost us £28m next summer plus a further £7m in add-ons.

Eddie Howe has already discussed his admiration for Hall, describing him as "very versatile" and a player with "really good potential", but spoke to the press after Saturday night's defeat about the lessons he'll have learnt from watching us in action:

“Lewis will have probably seen the quality of the game, but I don’t think that will have surprised him coming from Chelsea.

"He will have learnt a little bit by looking directly at us for maybe one of the first times with exactly how we play and what we do.”

The 18-year-old may be one for the future in some respects, but he was Chelsea's standout player in our two league games last season. Mix that with his ability to play at left-back, in central midfield or on the left wing, I think we can expect to see plenty of him this season.
