Newcastle set to sign TWO England youth stars as target posts goodbye message on Monday
The summer transfer window may have closed, but that won't stop Newcastle United announcing a series of academy additions over the coming weeks.
As we revealed on deadline day, Newcastle have won the race to sign highly-rated Birmingham winger Trevan Sanusi, who looks set to join our U18 ranks alongside Leo Shahar.
Like Sanusi, the Wolves full-back is an England youth international who has been tipped to sign at St James' Park over the past few months. A deal has been agreed for some time, but the move will become official soon.
On an Instagram post just moments ago, the 16-year-old has confirmed he's leaving Wolves, saying: 'I want to thank all the staff and players at @Wolves that have helped support my development over the last 10 years , it’s been a great journey but now has come the time for me to move on. I want to wish the club all the best for the future.'
The post was actually 'liked' by Sanusi, who knows Shahar well following their time together in the England U16 youth side.
Shrewsbury talent Travis Hernes was announced as our latest academy addition on deadline day, but it won't be long until the club confirm moves for Sanusi and Shahar.
