Yasir Al-Rumayyan reaches out to Eddie Howe ahead of Brentford clash - Report
According to The Telegraph, Eddie Howe has been given 'unequivocal backing' from Toon chairman Yasir Al-Rumayyan after a rocky start to the season.
It’s believed the PIF governor has given his full support to the manager and the board. Instead of trying to find someone or something to blame, he's reached out to help in any way he can.
The Telegraph also report that he's determined to protect Howe from any unnecessary pressure or unfair criticism, instead promoting a sense of calm behind the scenes.
Newcastle have won just one of our first four games in the Premier League prior to the international break and now head into a huge week with Brentford at home and AC Milan away in the space of four days.
Though it's still early days, there's a feeling that we have to get a positive result against the Bees or questions will start to be raised by the media. With this in mind, it's great to hear Al-Rumayyan is keeping a level head and supporting Howe through this tough patch.
