Botman & Wilson fail late tests as Isak, Bruno & Trippier all start vs Burnley - Official team news

The team sheets are in at St James’ Park ahead of today's return to Premier League action, where Eddie Howe's Mags take on Vincent Kompany's Clarets.

Here’s the team we've gone with for the 3pm kick-off:

(4-3-3): Pope - Trippier, Schar, Lascelles, Burn - Longstaff, Bruno, Anderson - Almiron, Isak, Gordon.

SUBS: Dubravka, Dummett, Joelinton, Tonali, Ritchie, Targett, Hall, Livramento, Murphy

Sven Botman and Callum Wilson have failed late fitness, seeing Jamaal Lascelles fill in and captain the side. Up top, it’s Isak in Wilson’s absence.

Elsewhere, Howe's gone back to the majority of the side that put eight past Sheffield United last Sunday, with Trippier, Schar, Burn, Longstaff, Bruno, Anderson, Gordon and Almiron all returning after they missed out on our starting XI in midweek.

Harvey Barnes (toe), Joe Willock (Achilles) and Emil Krafth (ACL) miss out as expected, although it was great to see the latter play the first 45 minutes for the U21s in their 1-1 draw with Nottingham Forest last night.
