Exciting plans revealed for PSG clash as Wor Flags prepare biggest display yet
According to Mark Douglas at iNews, Wor Flags are set to unveil their 'biggest display yet' for Wednesday's Champions League meeting with PSG.
It's the first game back amongst Europe's elite for over 20 years and a huge new surfer flag will be on display before kick-off, with three stands of St James' Park set to be "fully covered" as the players walk out.
Elsewhere, other flags and displays will be up around the stadium, with members of the Wor Flags team working '400 hours' to create the best spectacle yet. The report adds that volunteers worked from early Sunday morning to late on Monday night to get the stadium prepared, showing the incredible work that's gone in to Wednesday's display.
Speaking to iNews, here's what a member of the Wor Flags team had to say ahead of the match:
Fan participation is a huge part of it, were reliant on people feeling involved and it really contributing to a fantastic atmosphere.
When the group was drawn, the three clubs we got all have these traditions of huge fan displays and fantastic support. In Milan it was spectacular, then theres Dortmund with the yellow wall and PSG use pyros and displays. So we knew that we needed to up our game.
Its not just an opportunity for the players to show what they can do on an international stage, its an opportunity to show who we are and showcase St James Park.
